Our historic harbour is almost ready to host Harbour Fest for the fourth consecutive year!

Once again presented by West Cumbria cultural organisation Rosehill, in partnership with our events team at Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, the free one-day festival on Saturday 30th August will see the harbourside transformed into a stage for world-class performance, music and creative family activities.

This year, the main programme that runs from 11am to 4pm will include the Cumbrian premiere of NoFit State Circus’ Bamboo, a brand-new show packed full of high-impact acrobatics, live music, and displays of balance.

There will also be roaming performances, interactive art installations, and even giant puppets!

In addition, local makers will showcase their work at the TEG Retail Market on King Street, beside an exhibition of community artwork adorning the shop fronts, the popular harbourside Continental Market makes a return, and our own The Rum Story will host Harbour Fest After Hours - The Mystery of the Pirate Lagoon from Cumbrian theatre company Ragged Edge Productions - in the evening.

Don't miss it!
