The Edge, Cumbria's Coastal Activities Centre, has won another award - this time in the New Tourism Business category at the 2026 Cumbria Tourism Awards.
The highly anticipated awards took place on Wednesday 8th July at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, shining a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of the people and businesses setting the standard for quality, creativity and service.
Craig Lowery, managing director of Osprey Management Group, and Deanne Shallcross, CEO of Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, attended the ceremony and collected the award.
The black-tie event was hosted by Tom Speight, cultural podcast host and former BBC journalist, and brought together 260 of the county’s leading businesses, individuals and their supporters.
Each award winner received a fused glass award handcrafted by Jo Vincent Glass, and all the finalists received a framed certificate.
Many of the winners will now go forward to represent Cumbria at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in 2027.
